Helpful Guide
What to wear
We advise comfortable clothing for the workshops, as well as closed toe shoes with a good grip. A professional Ritz Paris uniform consisting of an apron, a jacket and a chef's hat will be at your disposal during the course. Changing rooms are also at your disposal.
Premises and equipment
Studying the mastery of culinary art in one of the great venues of French gastronomy is a privilege for students attending these courses. The kitchen, equipped with high performance installations such as Molteni stoves and cutting edge professional equipment adapted to all preparation and cooking techniques (vacuum packed, wok, plancha, induction) is at your disposal, as is the library, abundant with multilingual volumes on gastronomy.
Courses
All cookery lessons at the École Ritz Escoffier are held in French and English. If you wish to follow the course in another language, interpreters are available on demand. A native Japanese speaker is able to attend in order to assist students during their course at the School.
Recipies are available in French or English, and also in Japanese upon request.
Preparing for your training course
In order to obtain your visa, the School can deliver a certificate of attendance upon receiving payment for the course fees. Confirmation of your registration will be delivered upon reception of payment.
When enrolling, students should provide the following documents to the administrative team of the École Ritz Escoffier:
- a copy of their ID document,
- a passport photo,
- a copy of their personal insurance.
Please note that the School has liability insurance.
Accomodation and meals
A list of hotels and organisations is available from the School, in order to help you find accommodation as a tenant or as a boarder. If you wish to stay at the Ritz Paris, please contact the Reservations Services, specifying your enrollment as a student at the École Ritz Escoffier.
Meals are included in the training courses. Students can sample the dishes they have prepared or enjoy lunch in the staff restaurant.
